Welcome to my Blog!

Hi everyone!  My name is Brittany.  I have been married to my husband Brad for about a year and a half now.  We currently live in North Alabama.  I work as a Program Control Analyst for a local company.  When I am not working, I love to cook, do crafts, and more importantly travel!  It would seem like Brad and I are out of town all the time.  Our traveling ranges from day trips to visit family or week long trips to Disney.  I have wanted to start a blog for some time now.  The real delay has been deciding a name.  While the explanation behind the name is written up in the "About" section, I will relay it here as well.

Pink Glitter Pumpkins are not spoken of nicely in our household.  But I felt firmly that it would be a good name for my blog since it is unique to Brad and me.  It was 2010, our first Halloween together.  I found a cute project on Pinterest.  It was glittered pumpkins.  Sounds easy, right?  Well it caused our first fight, and the first of many crafts gone wrong.  Although Brad can usually help me fix a project gone wrong, this one was not fixable.  The fight was simply about how we should apply the glue and glitter to the pumpkins.  It was as SIMPLE as that.  But we disagreed.  Needless to say, we never completed those glitter pumpkins.  But it makes for a cute story.

I hope my blog will provide you with some ideas that you can use in your life as well.  Right now, I plan to have blog postings 2 - 3 times a week.  I have multiple categories that I will be posting to.  Most of them are pretty straight forward.

• Recipes - I hope to post a recipe weekly.  Most of the recipes will not be my own, but ones we are using that week.  Although, I do frequently change up recipes some from their original state.
• Vacations - In this category, you will find planning tips for certain vacations, trip reports, and just some overall tips when vacationing and traveling.
• Parties - I love to plan parties, and I did plan my own wedding.  This category will feature some of the parties I have planned as well as some of the things I did for my wedding.
• Crafts - I love doing crafts, but as my "about" section mentions, I am not always good at them.  Sometimes Brad has to save them, and sometimes they are just not savable!  But hopefully my instructions for my successful crafts will help you from making the same mistakes I make!
• Household - In this category, you will find literally anything that can be considered household items.  I will discuss some of our budget planning, food planning, and lunch ideas.
• Randomness - The title says it all.  Everything else you will find here.  This could vary from the books I am reading to what my favorite beauty products are that day.
