Christmas Decor - Living Room
Coffee Table: I didn't want to change a whole lot here. I don't like for my coffee table to feel too cluttered, although half the time it seems like I do! So I used my usual dining room table runner as a runner for the table. Brad's brother and sister-in-law gave it to me for my birthday last year. It is burlap and has a monogrammed "P" on each end. As a "centerpiece" I used a bowl I found at TJ Maxx, I believe, and filled it with unused ornaments. Brad hates this bowl by the way. He claims it is its unusual shape that bothers him. I left our Alabama/Ole Miss coasters, as well as our picture books. I did add two candy jars full of candy and my Polar Express book.
Mantel: Our theme for the mantel is "snowmen". This wasn't planned. It happened by accident, and then I went with it! For the picture, you can find instructions on how to paint it yourself in one of my previous blog posts. The lanterns on each end were reused from our beach wedding. I actually have the lanterns on our mantel year-round. The only difference is that I fill the lanterns with ornaments to cover the bottom. I also add red ribbons to the top of them. The centerpiece is our three snowmen. This is a purchase Brad made before our marriage. If you turn them all on, their lights sync up with each other. The lit garland was a Walmart clearance purchase a few years ago. Once we have children, I want monogrammed stockings that all match. But in the meantime, we decided last year to get these cute snowmen stockings. We found cute stocking holders at Target last year as well. I also added two Christmas pictures of us. Lastly is our latest edition, and that is our Lego Snowman. Most people that know us know we love Legos. Not long ago, I was at Toys 'R Us and found this small set and knew it was a must have!!
Random Tables: On one table, we used another burlap table runner I had and placed it on the table. It was a Homegoods find and is red with ruffles on the end. The only other decoration on this table is Christmas cards and pictures.
On the other table, I put our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree on it. I displayed the Santa painting from a previous posts. We also have our Charlie Brown clock.
Lastly, on our tv stand I added a candle and Peanuts decor. The candle was a gift from my mother-in-law last year.
hope somehow this can be an inspiration to you!
