(Brown) Fried Rice
Ingredients
- Brown Rice (or whatever rice you prefer)
- Approximately 2 tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
- Any fresh veggies you prefer - we used onion and jalapenos
- Any frozen veggies you prefer - we used corn
- 2 Large Eggs
- Soy Sauce
Instructions
Step One: Cook rice. Our rice takes approximately 15 minutes to cook. We made 1 cup of uncooked rice.
Step Two: During the last 5-10 minutes of cooking for the rice, heat approximately 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet on medium - high heat.
Step Three: Add fresh vegetables and sauté for around 2-3 minutes.
Step Four: Add frozen vegetables and sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
Step Five: Once all vegetables are soft, move them to the side of the pan. Cook the two eggs on the opposite side of the pan. They will ultimately be scrambled eggs.
Step Six: As eggs approach being done, combine them with the vegetables and throw the rice on top. I also added a few dashes of soy sauce.
Step Seven: Mix together and cook for about 5 minutes or until warm and mixed well.
