Southern Style Cornbread
Ingredients
1 egg
1 1/3 cups milk
2 cups of self rising corn meal (I use Martha White)
Couple tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions
(This is a Martha White recipe with a few changes)
1. Preheat oven to 450
2. Coat a cast iron skillet with the vegetable oil and place in oven
3. Beat an egg in a medium bowl
4. Mix in milk then corn meal
5. Pour into hot cast iron skillet
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes
