Lingerie Shower Decor and Invitations
My best friend and Matron of Honor hosted my lingerie shower. It was a lots of fun, and she had great food and decorations. We teamed up when deciding the decor and she was nice enough to let me even pick out the yummy food!
Entrance & Party Favors
Emily set up a sign when you first walked in her house that said the following "Wishing her marital bliss, Show Brit some love and leave her a kiss!". In the favor bags, she had lipstick that you could use to kiss and then sign a board (this was a guestbook from a previous post). The favor bags had a few other goodies including nail polish. Since it's a lingerie shower, the bag said "Thanks for the support" and had a picture of a bra on it.
Food & Tables
The tables in the kitchen were covered in a white and clear table cloth that resembles lace. Since my favorite color is pink, she purchased pink napkins and utensils and some cute gray, black, and pink plates with hearts on them. The main food was Subway sandwiches, a cheese ball with crackers, a vegetable tray, chicken salad, and spinach dip with chips.
The dessert table had the same table cloth but we added a drawer from an old night stand and filled it with panties to play into the theme. The panties were also a gift to me afterwards. For dessert my cousin had a cute cake made and we had chocolate fondue with pretzels, marshmallows, and strawberries.
Drinks
For drinks, Emily had black plastic cups. There were two sides of the drinks. The alcohol side was a mixture of champagne and raspberries with a sign that said "Strip and Go Naked". The non-alcohol side had a pink tub full of water, Pepsi and Mountain Dew. It also had a sign and it said "Flannel Pajamas".
Extra Decor
In Emily's living room, we didn't do too much extra decoration, but on her mantel we did take some pink tulle and wrap it around some white string lights to give it a little something extra without going overboard.
Invitations
The invitations were made to look like lingerie. Emily purchased black card stock, pink card stock, thin pink ribbon, and white tulle ribbon. She also had to purchase envelopes that would hold half of a page of card stock (and matched), and we used scissors, a hole punch and glue.
The invitation itself was printed on the pink card stock. It took up half the page so we could print two invites per page. The invitation includes a cute saying as well as the details of the shower and lingerie sizes.
This invite was covered with black "lingerie". You need one piece of black card stock for each invitation. The pink invite was placed in the middle of the black card stock. The black card stock was folded in to cover the pink invite. The top corners were also cut off at an angle. We glued the white tulle ribbon on the inside of the cut. This needs to dry. We used the hole punch down the middle of the card stock that we intertwined the pink ribbon through. Once the ribbon is intertwined you slide the pink invite in, place in an envelope, and mail!
