John Deere DIY Baby Shower

When a was planning a baby shower for a coworker, I knew John Deere would be the perfect theme. Her son's nursery was going to have a lot of John Deere incorporated, and she is also a John Deere fan. Unfortunately finding John Deere baby shower items is difficult, so I decided to make my own. Below are the centerpieces I made and Cupcake toppers.

Centerpieces

Items Needed

  • Yellow Foam Paper
  • Green Foam Paper
  • Scissors
  • Wooden Sticks
  • Clear Vase
  • Green and Yellow Scrap Paper
  • White Printer Paper
  • Green and Yellow Construction Paper

Instructions

1.  Cut round yellow tires for a tractor using the yellow foam paper. I used objects found around the house to make a good circle. The back tire needs to be smaller than the front tire.

2. Use the green foam paper and cut out the tractor itself.

3. Use tape to attach the tractor to the wooden stick. You want to do this on both sides of the stick.

4. Also using tape, attach the wheels. Again on both sides.

Now you are finished with this piece of the centerpiece.

5. Using the construction paper, cut squares out using fun shaped scissors.

6. Print cute sayings like 'it's a boy' or the baby's name on the printer paper. Make sure you stick with the green and yellow theming when picking colors for your font.

7. Cut the sayings in square shapes and attach to the construction paper with tape.
