Laundry Room Makeover
So about 6 months ago, we started a kitchen renovation/restoration project. We sold most of our cabinets that we removed from our kitchen at a yard sale, but we did keep two sets of cabinets to repaint and put in our laundry room. We finally finished this project a few weeks ago, and below are the final results.
So first off are some before pictures. You can see them below. We had wire shelving above our washer and dryer, and we had beige colored walls. It wasn’t an awful look, but painting was required because there were some noticeable areas that needed to be fixed. We have tried touching up areas, but the paint color has never 100% matched since this house was painted so long ago.
So I paid my brother to paint our cabinets for us. I wasn’t a huge fan of painting the bathroom cabinets, and it would take up needed space in our garage. It also would take way too much time.
Once he was finished painting the cabinets, we took down the wire shelving and repainted the laundry room. Well half of it. We planned to paint the other half after the cabinets were installed.
My dad brought the cabinets over and helped us install them.
That evening I repainted the other side of the room. Then a few days later, we hung back up our things. I have spent some time organizing the cabinets, and we were able to clean out our hallway closet and store some of the things in these cabinets too. It really made a huge difference!
