Salisbury Steak
I found this yummy Salisbury steak recipe on Pinterest a while back. I have made Salisbury steak before, but this is probably the best I have ever made. And the gravy portion is to die for. Pair it with mashed potatoes, and yummy!!!
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup bread crumbs
3 teaspoon ketchup
1 teaspoon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 packets of brown gravy mix
2 cups of hot water
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix together the beef, breadcrumbs, 2 tsp ketchup, 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and onion powder. [and I had a little helper!]
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Break the mixture above into patties and cook on both sides until cooked throughly.
3. In another bowl, whisk together gravy mix and water. Add 1 tsp ketchup and 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce and continue to whisk until well blended.
4. Lower the temperature of the patties to low, and pour the gravy mix over the patties. Cook until the sauce is warm and thick.
5. Serve!
