How to get Printer Toner or Ink out of Clothing
A few weeks ago, Brad sent me a text while a work warning me about his encounter with their printer at work. Apparently he couldn't get something to print, he messed with the toner, and boom! He had toner all over his fairly new work pants. He has very few pairs of work pants, and these were his most favorite since they were the newest. So I had a few hours to investigate a solution!
I googled and googled, and finally decided to give a few solutions a try. At this point it was worth the risk of ruining them more in hopes this would work...and it did!
You just need rubbing alcohol, hairspray, a washcloth, and your ordinary washing machine and detergent.
First I poured the rubbing alcohol on the wash cloth. Then I blotted it all over the stain. Know that it is likely you will ruin this wash cloth, so use one you are not attached to.
Next take the hairspray and spray it all over the same spots. Using the same wash cloth, blot the area again. However, turn the item inside out and blot the other side too.
Now you need to wash the item on cold wash using your usual detergent. We opted to wash it alone in fear of the ink ruining anything else.
And (as my daughter would say) ta-da! All the stains are gone!
