For quite a long time, we have wanted to spend some time updating our bedroom and bathroom. But we have just spent time focusing on other parts of our house. So we decided to finally make the time and update it back in May after Brad being there 10 years and I being there 5.

So to start with, we painted the rooms yellow. They are one large room with no door dividing the bedroom or bathroom. So it all had to be the same color. Our “theme” has been gray and yellow, so yellow seemed fitting to simply do something different. I am not entirely in love with the yellow we picked. I don’t find it awful, but it only looks great with the perfect lighting.

We also rearranged our room. I don’t really have any good before, but we basically flipped our room. We moved everything the direct opposite of one another to try and gain some space in our “reading” area. We also remove the TV from the wall and got rid of it altogether. We bought a TV to put on the dresser when I need it.

We finally added pictures and such to the walls. They have been nearly bare for quite some time.

In our bathroom, we updated the light fixtures. I wanted these fixtures in Melody’s bathroom, but they were too low and didn’t work. But thankfully they worked in ours, and I love them!

In a perfect world we would have painted our cabinets and updated our counters, but that will likely not happen since our house is for sale! But I am glad we finally updated this room in general and can enjoy it for a while longer!
