UP Painting
So a year later, I decided to finally post about this painting I did with Melody. I guess I forgot we even did this and stumbled across it and remembered how cute it was! During a countdown for one of our Disney trips, we did different Disney related activities. One of those things was making an “UP” Painting. It was a very thrown together idea that was a risk, but it turned out great!
So to start, I took a blank canvas and used painter’s tape to cover up the bottom 1/4 of it. Then I put various paint colors on a plate and let Melody pick one color a time and use her finger printing to make “dots” (aka balloons). I was sure to wipe her finger after every color to not mix them.
Once she finished, I let it dry. Then I removed the painter’s tape.
Now came my part. I used a pencil to draw the “UP” house in the open space. Then I used a sharpie to color it in.
Then I used a sharpie to draw the lines to each balloon. I should have drawn less lines, but oh well.
Melody was super proud, and I think it turned out adorable!
