Bridal Shower Food
For my cousin’s bridal shower, she wanted the food to be a “chip” and dip style charcuterie set up. She gave us a list of her favorites dips and dippers to go along with it. So most of this was not an original idea by myself. Her and her maid of honor did a good job coming up with different food.
Main Food
So the main food is your heartier foods.
Dips
Spinach Dip
Ranch
Buffalo Chicken
Cheese Dip
Salsa
Guacamole
Dippers
Pretzel Bread
Veggies - carrots, celery, bellpeppers
Fritos
Bagel Chips
Tortilla Chips
Pumpkin Filled Pretzels
Ritz Chips
I made labels for all of the food. I did chalkboard stands for the dips, and I did white tents with gold sharpie for the dippers.
Dessert
For dessert, we were kind of torn on how to handle it. Her maid of honor had a fondue set that she did dark chocolate fondue in. But we wanted one more dip. Ultimately I made a s’mores dip. Now the key is to make it right before dessert is served so it is freshly melted. That was the dilemma we had. So let everyone eat the main foods and socialize. Then around 30-40 minutes after the shower started, we heated up our desserts. That worked perfectly. For dippers we had graham crackers, marshmallows, strawberries, and Nilla wafers.
Drink Table
We opted for a small variety of drinks. We put the drinks in my kitchen along with the coffee bar (below). We just did water, sweet tea, and fruit tea. I also included some lemon for those that wanted it along with ice.
Coffee Bar
My favorite feature may have been the coffee bar (although I loved all the things of this shower). I plan to go into more detail later about it, but I will share a bit now. We opted for both iced and hot coffee. Although no one got any hot coffee. I had half and half along with milk and vanilla syrup (the bride’s favorite). I did have some decaf K-Cups for anyone interested, but again, no one had any.
The food theme turned out really cute, and everyone loved all the snacks it seems!
