My 36th Birthday
My birthday this year was quite different. Brad was on the other side of the world, and Melody ended up sick the next day when we had planned to celebrate with my parents. But we celebrated the best we could with the circumstances given. And Melody was so proud of herself!
Melody wrapped her present for me since it came in after Brad left. Then with the help of my mom, she decorated our dining room.
For breakfast I had waffles. And since life is still bustling, Melody and I had Slim Chickens for dinner after gymnastics.
Melody and I went to Publix before school so that she could pick out some cupcakes to have after dinner.
We did get to FaceTime Brad after dinner. He and Melody sang happy birthday to me over the phone too.
Then a quick selfie with Melody before bed.
Once Brad got home, we scheduled a reservation at The Cheesecake Factory. We got one a few months ago, and we just have not made it over there until now. Aside from Melody’s stomach ache, it was quite delicious and fun. Melody even wore makeup for the occasion.
