April 2022 Carnival Cruise Day Four
Our our fourth day of our cruise, we had a day at sea. This meant we would not be docking at any port. Instead there was a day full of activities throughout the ship for us to explore and do.
We woke up and had room service and hung out in our room for a bit. I took some pictures from our balcony this morning. Literally nothing around with the exception of another cruise ship in the distance.
We decided to try out the sea day brunch. We went around 10 am. It wasn’t busy at all. It was located in the dining room in the back of the ship like breakfast is on the other days. I had looked at the menu a lot before coming here, and there were many things I wanted to try. I opted to try the skillet cake with a side of bacon. It was basically pancakes, but they were delicious. The marshmallow was a nice touch. I needed very little syrup because of this. I also ordered a blueberry muffin, but they were out. So instead I tried a honey butter biscuit. It was decent, but not a true southern biscuit. My mom got the French toast with bacon and brunch potatoes. She enjoyed it, but I did not try it to have an opinion.
We decided to spend sometime at the Serenity area laying out and enjoying the warmth. We laid out for about an hour and a half before exploring some of the ship and taking pictures.
We sat down and had lunch around 1. Then we headed to the adult only pool and hung out for a bit. It was really busy and hot over there though. Very little breeze as well.
We came back to the room around 3 to freshen up for dinner. Here is our last towel animal of the trip!
We decided to explore some of the parts of the ship we did not get a chance to visit yet. Along the way I got an iced latte. It was actually pretty decent. It is better I didn’t discover it sooner!
We headed to dinner around 6. I started out with a sangria again (I had two at dinner), and mom tried the spicy chipotle pineapple martini. She loved it. It had a slight kick at first, but not too bad. For appetizers we had the fried shrimp, marinated chicken tenders, and the Cobb salad. Honestly, this was my least favorite grouping of food the entire cruise. The shrimp was pretty good, but the chicken was not. And the salad was just a salad. For the main course we had the chicken Milanese and grilled chicken breast. Once again, lackluster. For dessert, we ended the trip with the classic melting chocolate cake!
We went to the America Rocks show. We opted to watch the first showing. It was a lot of fun to watch.
The last thing we did was head to the comedy club. I bought a pitcher of margaritas, and I had a little too much. But the comedy was actually awful. And it only lasted 30 minutes.
We called it a night around 10 after walking around a bit. It was super rocky, and it was so hard to sleep. We definitely picked the wrong night to drink so much!
