Disney World Day One March 2023
Our first day at Disney actually consists of two nights and one day. This trip was such a fun trip, so let’s dive in!
We arrived around 3:45, and our room was ready. They do not issue out carts, so we left all of our things with bell services. Once we got to our room, we called them and they brought them right up.
Our room was amazing. They were able to take care of my room requests, and we happened to have a connecting room with Brad’s parents too. It all worked out great. The room was so spacious, and the balcony was nice. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time on the balcony since we spent more time exploring the resort than we expected. But it was still nice to have.
After we received our luggage and unpacked a few things, we headed downstairs to explore a little bit. We checked The Exchange for what kind of food they had, and we got some ice cream.
We went to Publix and grabbed a few groceries we needed that The Exchange didn’t have. Then we came back and unloaded things. I continued to unpack, and Brad went downstairs to the Garden Gallery and grabbed us dinner. It was really good. Brad had the wings, and I had the fried rice. Then we explored the resort even more. Melody got her feet wet in a pool, she found lots of photo props, and she found the playground. We let her play a bit before finally calling it a night around 8:30.
The next morning, Melody and I slept in while Brad went to the airport and got his parents. We got up and got ready and spent some time at the playground before Brad got back.
Brad’s parents happened to be ready when they arrived, so we got them in their room, then we drove to Disney Springs. We used their fancy parking app to keep track of our car. Then we went and had lunch at Chicken Guy! It had been quite some time since I have eaten there, so it was really yummy. Then we did a bit of shopping before heading back to the hotel.
Once we got back, Brad’s parents headed to the bar to watch Memphis play basketball. Brad then took Melody to the pool. I did a few things around the room before joining him. During that time we had some snacks delivered too.
Melody loved the pool so much; she swam for about 2 hours before we finally got her out to eat dinner. We had dinner at Evergreens. The food was actually really good. We had lunch and dinner here a few times. My biggest complaint was ordering. You had to order at the bar which was not always convenient and would get really backed up.
We finished dinner around 6:45. We let Melody play a bit at the playground before calling it another early night. We knew the next day was going to be an early, but super fun one!
