Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique March 2023
During our Disney World trip in March 2023, we got to cross a fun experience off our Disney Bucket List…Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Prior to COVID, Melody wasn’t old enough. We only went once when she was 3, and it was a quick trip. Then on our trips post COVID, they were not open. But they were finally open for our Spring Break trip, and after a lot of research and stalking, I found an ideal time for us during our trip.
We couldn’t get a pre-park opening reservation or a reservation backed up to Cinderella’s Royal Table, but it honestly worked out great. We had an appointment at 12:05 on our next to last day. This worked out for multiple reasons.
By doing it at the end of our trip, we didn’t have to worry about Melody getting her hair ruined in the pool. She was also able to keep it up even when we got home so she could wear it to school and dance.
With it being in the early afternoon, we were able to spend the morning riding rides and enjoying our last day at Magic Kingdom.
While it would have been fun to meet the princesses at Cinderella’s Royal Table all dressed up, I think it was more relaxed, and we didn’t feel as rushed this way.
We arrived right at 12 noon. Do know they are super strict on the time here. Do not arrive early as they won’t usually let you in. But since we were right on time, they checked us right in.
Once inside, you are seated in an area where you can start looking at the book of different packages. I didn’t grab pictures of all the options, but you can easily google them. When you check in, they ask you a slew of questions. They’ll ask if your child wants to be a Queen or Princess and what she wants to go by name wise. This comes into play later.
We did wait a little while in this room, but they were pretty busy too. Then we were greeted with “Hello Royal Families. I am here looking for Queen Melody.” Then off we went. We were asked about the package at this point so that they could help guide us. They asked what princess Melody was interested in (Rapunzel), but they did not have any Rapunzel dresses in her size. This is a big bummer but also a common theme. We did bring a backup dress I bought because I knew this was a possibility. Melody did find another dress to try on though. She also picked out Rapunzel accessories. Below is some snapshots of all the dresses and accessories.
We then were brought into a dressing room. Hanging were both dresses and accessories. At this point, we were asked about the hairstyles, and we had the magical transformation. Melody ultimately decided to go with the Sleeping Beauty dress. Then we paid and waited for our name to be called once again.
Once called, we walked over to the castle where we got to watch Melody get her makeup, nails, and hair done. Below are the pictures that I took. But there is a photographer taking pictures throughout the experience. I highly recommend getting Memory Maker especially if you are spending the money here. Sarah was our Fairy Godmother Apprentice, and she was AMAZING. I don’t know if you can request by name who you see, but I will definitely ask for her again in the future. I don’t know what magic she had, but Melody’s hair lasted for nearly 5 days! And that included riding some intense rides!
Below you can see some of the pictures taken during the experience. It was so magical getting to see her reaction during the “reveal”. They do not let the child see themselves at all during the experience. Her missing tooth was also a highlight.
Afterwards, we were given a necklace and BIG hug!
We then walked next door to Sir Mickey’s. There is a PhotoPass Studio located inside of here where you can get pictures made. It is not part of the experience, so anyone can go here and take pictures, but it was nice to have some posed pictures with her all dolled up.
She REALLY, REALLY wanted to meet Rapunzel. So I made a Genie+ to meet her. I was SO disappointed that there was not a PhotoPass photographer here. But I took lots of pictures and videos. Melody brought her two Rapunzel dolls too, and she asked Rapunzel to hold one. It was too cute! Then we let Melody pick one more ride before we headed out to Epcot. She picked the carousel!
On our way out, we stopped for more pictures on Main Street. It was super bright though. And at this point, she was over the Rapunzel crown!
This was such a fun and unique experience. We have an upcoming trip, and she is begging to do it again. I am not sure we will, but I know we will do it again on another future trip!
