Now that it has been almost one year, I am finally wrapping up all the posts to my Pumpkin Baby Shower that I had for my best friend, Emily. She had her third baby back in November of last year. So we hosted a diapers and wipes shower for her the month before. Seeing that it was fall, and my house was decorated as such, we opted for a pumpkin theme. Today I am sharing all about the invitation I made.
My best friend, Emily, recently had a new baby. We were able to sneak in a baby shower a few weeks before, however. It was just close family and friends, but it was still special. We opted for a simple diapers and wipes shower. And since it was October, I played off of the pumpkin theme.
For Emily’s baby shower, I definitely wanted some sort of guest book. I opted to keep it simple though. I bought a cute blue/green picture frame from Hobby Lobby that already had a mat with it. Then the “picture” was the invitation. I had everyone sign the mat, then placed it in the frame to send home with Emily.
One of the things I find hardest about planning any event is what kind of food to serve! It really can be hard because you want to have plenty of food, a variety for everyone, but not also not spend a fortune. The same can be said about the baby shower I had for my best friend a while back. I mainly tried to serve food that I knew she liked, and I also shopped BOGO sales at Publix to help keep the cost down.
I have made many diaper cakes at this point for various baby showers/sprinkles. But this was my first diaper cake for a little boy! My best friend recently had a baby boy, and I hosted a baby shower for her a while back. It was so much fun getting to use lots of blues instead of all the pink we are used to! I kept the diaper cake simple, but it was definitely all boy!
