Cute Dinner Date Idea
This post is pretty short, but it is something my husband and I do almost weekly, and we get lots of compliments from friends about how neat it is. When we first got married, food was always a fight with us. We never had a plan. We would literally decide where or what to eat the day of. We ate out A LOT! And we would go to the same places over and over. Our budget was non-existent. When I was single, I didn’t budget on paper. I knew the bills I had to pay, and I knew how much I had left over. I spent money on anything I wanted without much thought, but I knew my limits at the same time. Well Brad used Quicken to budget. And he followed it and would never go over a single line item. When we got married we struggled to find a happy medium. Eventually we found it though. The point is, when we found this happy medium, we stopped eating out during the week except for planned outings. We saved eating out for the weekends. Well because we went through a spell of eating out so much, nothing ever sounded good and we continued to eat at the same places. We literally noticed when the servers started getting promoted to management. At that point we knew it was a problem. There are tons of restaurants we have never tried. We decided to attempt once a week to try a new restaurant. The trick was that we took turns picking the restaurant...and we didn’t tell the other until we pulled up at the restaurant. Sometimes we even blindfold each other. It’s a fun way to try new restaurants but have a cute date night.
