Guestbook Ideas
I have four guestbook ideas that were used during my wedding showers and wedding that I want to share with you. All four were unique to the event, but I hope they can inspire you when deciding a guestbook for a future event you may be hosting.
Couple Wedding Shower - Animal Kingdom Theme
My now husband's family hosted a couple's shower for the two of us before our wedding. They decided to do an Animal Kingdom theme since we were honeymooning at Disney World. Everything was gorgeous. A few pictures from the actual shower can be found below. When deciding what I wanted to do for a guestbook, I ran across a picture mat that was animal print. I thought it would be a good idea to have people sign the mat, and then we could frame a picture taken of us at the shower. We now have it on our mantle at home.
Bridal Shower - Traditional Theming
My Matron of Honor and aunts hosted my bridal shower. When Emily, my MOH, was trying to decide on a guestbook idea, she thought of a great one. We went to Hobby Lobby and she purchased a wooden "P" since that was what my new last name would begin with. She painted it white and attached a pink ribbon to it. Everyone signed it with a black Sharpie. Per plan to hang it in our bedroom.
Lingerie Shower
My lingerie shower was hosted by my MOH Emily. She came up with a cute idea of having everyone sign a board and also "kiss" it. She found a gorgeous glittered black frame from Hobby Lobby. She made small favor bags that included random shades of lipstick. When people arrived, they unwrapped their favor bag and kissed the board. The plan is to print a picture from the shower and attached it to the bottom. I hope to hang it in our bathroom at some point.
Wedding Guestbook - Postcards
Since we got married at the beach, we decided to purchase local postcards from Destin where our wedding was held. At Walmart, they sold postcards for approximately $0.10 a piece, and we purchased around 150. We purchased six different styles for guest to chose from {25 of each style}. We also had various pens for guest to use. This allowed our guests to take their postcard back to their table and leave more than a signature. Once completed, the postcards were placed in the lantern box we purchased from Kohl's. We also purchased plate stands to hold the postcards. We received lots of nice messages from our guests. We purchased a nice photo album that we have put the postcards in.
