Fabric Bookmark
As a nice surprise for Brad, I found some leftover TMNT fabric that I knew I probably would never use. I decided to take the fabric and make Brad a bookmark. This was really a quick and easy project. If you have some leftover fabric, thread, needle, and a random piece of cardboard you are good to go!
Taking your random piece of fabric, cut the fabric to the size of the bookmark you would like. Mine was approximately 7 inches long and 2 inches wide. I really just guessed since I only had a small amount of fabric. I cut this twice so that I would have two separate pieces of fabric.
Place the two pieces of fabric together, securing with pins. Make sure the fabric is outside in.
Sew all the edges together except for one of the small sides.
On the 'open' ends, on one side, pull the thread through so that both ends of the thread is on the same side (second picture below).
Tie the thread together and cut the loose ends.
Turn the fabric inside out, and cut a piece of cardboard that will fit inside of the bookmark. I used a cereal box. Insert cardboard and sew the open end.
