Valentine's Day Centerpieces and Table Settings
Dining Room
Cupcake Liner Centerpieces
Items Needed
- Foam ball (size depends on what kind of vase/candle holder you'll be using; mine were 3")
- Candle holder or Vase
- Pins (preferable white or matching colors of cupcake liners)
- Cupcake liners (mine required 50 per foam ball and I only covered half of it)
Instructions
One: Take two cupcake liners and place the pin through the middle
Two: Stick the pin through the foam ball, top center
Three: Repeat these steps until all the ball is covered and can sit properly in the vase or candle holder; the pins should be placed fairly close (see below)
Table Decor
Our table decor is pretty simple. I used our red table runner with ruffles from Christmas. As a centerpiece I kept our current candle holder and added our Cupcake Liner Centerpieces. Lastly, I used our blue chargers with plates and placed red heart doilies.
Kitchen
Yarn-wrapped Vase
Items Needed
- Glass Vase
- Red or Pink Yarn
- Hot Glue Gun
Instructions
One: Measure how much yarn is needed by wrapping around the vase as you want
Two: Using the hot glue gun, place a dab of glue on the top of the vase
Three: Place one end of the yarn on the glue (it may help to use a craft stick to attach it)
Four: Randomly wrap the yarn around the vase
Five: At the end, place another dab of glue and attach the yarn
Six: Now you can fill it with flowers or conversation hearts like I did
Option Two, use a candle
Follow the same steps, but with a candle:
Bar Area
The only decor for the bar area is the conversation hearts vase.
Kitchen Table
For the centerpiece on our kitchen table, I used a white serving dish and placed the candles with yarn on them. For the place settings, I used red placemats, then our white plates. On top of the white plates are some decorative blue plates we have. Then I used white heart doilies on top of that.
