DIY Wedding Reception Programs/Placecards

DIY Wedding Reception Programs/Placecards

For our wedding reception, I decided to combine the placecards with a reception program.  I wanted guests to have some sort of outline of the evening's festivities.  I used the same pink cardstock that we used for our Wedding Programs.  I made them so that the size of the program was exactly half of one entire page.  This made cutting the programs really easy.  I had a lot of test ones made before printing the real thing.

First, I used ordinary print paper and hand wrote gibberish just to get an idea of spacing.

Then I started a trial and error process with paper until everything lined up as I wanted.  I also had a mock table setup to determine how I wanted everything to look.

We had approximately 120 RSVPs.  So it took me around 60 pages of paper.  I printed a few extras that were blank names in case we had any last minute guests (which we actually did).  A few weeks before the wedding, my wedding coordinator and I finalized the plans for the reception.  I printed them all, cut them, then strategically folded the top so that when it was placed on the table it look like an ordinary placecard.  We bought white seashells from Hobby Lobby that were placed on top of napkins that were on top of the programs.  Overall, I think the program was a nice touch.
