Disney Party

Disney Party

Before one of our Disney World trips, I decided to throw a Disney party to get some of our friends excited about their trip.  Below are some of the things I did.  You could easily spin this party into a birthday party too!

Food

Unlike some of my other parties, I did not go too crazy with food theming.  Since there were only four of us, I didn't feel it was too necessary to make every piece of food Disney themed.  Instead, we just ordered pizza as our main course.  For dessert, we had cupcakes, and Brad's idea was to use mini Oreos to make them in the shape of Mickey Mouse.  I also had Mickey Mouse candy scattered throughout the house.

Decorations

On our kitchen counter, I had our countdown plate complete with Mickey Mouse ribbon, and a plate stand with Disney plates and napkins.  Our dining room table was full of Disney decor!  The centerpieces I purchased at Party City.  They matched the plates and napkins which were also purchased at Party City.  Each table setting had a red placemat of mine, white utensils, the Disney plates and napkins, and I even found Disney straws from Party City.  I also placed some of the Disney candy and some Disney confetti on the tables.  Throughout our living room, I had Disney balloons, Disney candy, and Disney confetti.

Favors

I did have a couple of favors for everyone to take home.  One was the Disney candy, of course.  Two, were these cute Disney pressed penny containers complete with quarters and pennies.

Entertainment

To prepare for our upcoming Disney trip, I had everyone watch Frozen.  While Brad and I had seen it before, Emily and Justin had not.  We also watched the free Disney vacation video.  Obviously this may not be the best entertainment for a birthday party, but we enjoyed it!
