Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies
I found this recipe on Pinterest a while back. I happened to have all of the ingredients on hand, so I decide to fix them one day for Brad. He loves cream cheese anything and sugar cookies, so it only made sense. They were super good, but I had to like quadruple the frosting recipe to cover all of the cookies. Check it out below!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of softened butter
- 8 oz of cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (I used syrup)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 3 1/4 cup of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 cup of powdered sugar [for icing; may need more, see below]
- 2 tablespoons of milk [for icing; may need more, see below]
- sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar, butter, cream cheese, egg, and vanilla.
3. Add salt, flour, and baking powder. Mix well.
4. Add the dough by the tablespoon to a nonstick cookie sheet.
5. Bake around 10 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.
6. After the cookies have cooled, make the frosting. Mix together the powdered and sugar.
7. Dip the cookies into the glaze and add sprinkles to the top of each one. I had to make the frosting numerous times to cover all the cookies.
8. Enjoy!
