Ponytail Favors
I recently hosted a Baby Sprinkle for my sister in law. For her last baby shower, I made bookmark favors. I considered making a favor that incorporated sprinkles to continue with the theme. I thought maybe actual sprinkles, or some sort of food dipped in sprinkles and served in cute snack bags. But I really wanted something people would use. So I decided the favors should be ponytail holders!
I found a great deal on the elastic ponytail holders that are currently trending from Amazon. I received 100 ponytails for around $7. They were in a variety of solid colors.
Now my concerns how to give them out. I struggled with this for a while. I was afraid normal paper or cardstock would curl and not stay flat. I considered business cards but then I wasn't sure how to get anything cute on them writing-wise. In the end, I went with cardstock. I played around with various sizes until I made it the right size that wouldn't curl up when the ponytail was placed around it.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the exact dimensions needed. Then I used its "writing" capabilities and the pens Brad got me for Christmas to write some cute stuff on them. The top said "Oh Baby!" with a heart underneath. The bottom said "Thank you for coming to Rebekah's Baby Sprinkle!". Nothing too corny, but still cute. I used three different colored cardstock as well as three different colored pens.
Since I had 100 ponytails, I decided to do 3 ponytails per favor. Then I made 30 favors. I randomly placed ponytails on each cardstock. I continued until all 30 were completed!
I placed all 30 in a white basket that I had at our house. I tied one of the ribbons that matched the diaper cake around the basket to help it "match" everything else.
