Fall Break 2023 Destin
Last October during Fall Break, we went to Destin. It is our usual go-to beach spot. It was just the three of us in our condo, but our best friends, The Owens, were also there. So we did things together when it worked out! It was a super relaxing beach trip, and we had a lot of fun!
We LOVED our condo! We stayed at Tops’l as usual, and we opted to stay in The Summit building to save some money. Since it was just the three of us, we did consider a studio room, but with the length of time we were staying we opted for the two bedroom. It was nice because Melody did have her own room even if she wasn’t in it the entire time!
Once we arrived, we decided to have dinner at The Back Porch.
Our second day we followed our new tradition of eating out for lunch then doing the beach in the evening. We went to The Crab Trap with The Owens. It was delicious as always and we were one of maybe three tables in there. Lunch is the time to go! We then headed to the beach for the evening. We ate dinner on the beach and stayed until kids were literally passing out.
On our third day we went to the outlets. Brad’s parents happened to be in town, so we got to visit with his mom some while his dad was playing golf. Then we spent spent the evening at the pool with the Owens.
Our fourth day we went to the movies and saw the new Paw Patrol movie. We spent the evening at the beach and went crab hunting.
Our fourth day we had a lazy morning then had lunch at Stinky’s. We also tried a new coffee shop on our way back to the condo. Then we spent the evening at the beach.
Our last day Melody swam some that morning before we went to Surf Hut for lunch.
Then we headed home!
