Oatmeal Cookies
So Mondays tend to be my most productive days around the house. I also plan to cook the most complex meals of the week on Mondays. Some Mondays I even feel the need to make dessert. I usually try to make something that will last all week, and one that Brad can take to work. Brad loves cookies. I knew I had some oats, but I did not have any butter. So I googled until I found a cookie recipe without butter. I made a few tweaks to the original. Check it out below.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 4 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups of oats
- 3/4 cup of oil (I used vegetable oil)
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Instructions
1. Mix together the all of the dry ingredients
2. Make a hole in the center
3. Add the eggs, oil, and vanilla
4. Mix together
5. Roll into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet
6. Press down to make the cookie dough flat
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
8. Let cool, then serve!
