Happy Mother's Day!
Sunday was my first Mother's Day since having Melody. While we celebrated Mother's Day while I was pregnant, it was extra special to celebrate having Melody here.
The morning started with Brad letting me sleep in. I didn't sleep too late. It is crazy how having kids changes that. After getting up, we had Eggs Benedict for breakfast. It is one of my favorite breakfasts, but it is a pretty intense cook. Melody got me a book I have been wanting, First Comes Love by Emily Giffin. I love her books, but these days reading hasn't been a top priority.
After breakfast and gifts, Brad changed Melody into her outfit for the day. It was a cute mom shirt. It says "Just like Mom". Some pictures are below.
Next up was craft time. Brad had this idea to craft a butterfly from Melody's feet. He wanted to wait until I could help to do this since Melody has a hard time sitting still!
Brad made steak and crab legs with baked potatoes for dinner. It was super yummy! After dinner, we took some family pictures outside with my tripod.
All in all it was an amazing Mother's Day. Brad and Melody made it so special. Happy late Mother's Day!
