Splash Pad Fun
Emily and I decided to take our girls to a splash pad for the first time recently. We waited until school was back in session so that the crowds would be fairly small. Our local outdoor mall has a fun splash pad that is free that we used.
We got there around 10:30 am, and there was two other girls there with their moms. So there was plenty of room for Melody and Lydia to run around without the fear of them knocking someone else down (or getting knocked down). The other two girls were really sweet as well as their moms. A few times they even helped us keep the girls in the splash pad area [ha!]. It took the girls a bit to warm up to the water, but eventually any fear they had went out the window and they started going straight for the shooting water!
While the splash pad seemed to be fun for them, I am not certain it is something we will do as often as something like Let's Play. Mainly because we ended up pretty wet ourselves!
