Halloween 2018
This Halloween was filled with lots of new fun.
Melody first baked Halloween cupcakes with her Nannie.
Then she painted the pumpkin that was part of her Halloween Happy.
Melody dressed up as her favorite Disney Princess, Snow White.
We attended Trunk or Treat at Melody’s Preschool. Justin, Emily, and Lydia also came along. The girls were a little unsure, but as soon as they started getting candy in their buckets, they were all about it. Some of the cars were a little scary so Melody wanted to be held. And after visiting all of the cars, we watched It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. She also saw one of her preschool friends which was really sweet. Overall it was a lot of fun. And she loved being Snow White!
On Halloween night, my parents, Emily, Justin, and Lydia all came over. We had dinner around 5 before we went trick or treating. Originally we were going to only have pizza, but I ended up adding more food because that is just what I do!
After dinner, we headed out to trick or treat around 5:30. Quite a few houses didn’t have their lights on, and even a couple that did have their lights on sent us away because they didn’t have candy…. But we made the block and Melody and Lydia had tons of candy. Justin, Emily, and Lydia had to leave, but we continued trick or treating with my parents for a few more houses.
Once we got home, we started to hand out candy to other kids. Melody LOVED getting to help with this! Of course some kids received one piece while others received 5, haha. We also caught her sneaking off with some of the candy and adding it to her bucket.
Overall it was a really fun Halloween season. I can’t wait until next year!!
