Wayback Burger
A while back we went and tried Wayback Burger. It is semi-new in Huntsville. It wasn’t busy at all, which made me question how great the food was going to be. I will say, the big plus is that your food is made to order. However, this does require you to wait.
I tried the single craft your own burger. All of the other burgers on their menu contains more than one patty which I do not care for. So ultimately I had a bacon cheeseburger. It was ok. The burger was cooked perfectly, but there wasn’t a lot of flavor. I much prefer the flavor of a Five Guys hamburger. The bacon was ok, but it could have been crispier. Brad seemed to really love his basic burger though.
I also ordered the O-Fries. I really liked this idea. It’s great when you can’t decide between the onion rings and fries. I really liked the onion rings. I would likely order just the onion rings again in the future. The fries are pretty good too, but I loved that the onion rings didn’t fall apart as I ate them.
For Melody we ordered the chicken fingers and fries. The chicken was ok, but nothing amazing. Melody barely touched it, but that wasn’t surprising. She loved the fries though. I did try her ranch dressing. Unfortunately it tasted just like Hidden Valley. I was disappointed in this. I love a good ranch dressing. Especially for dipping my fries into.
So I would definitely go back, but I would likely try one of their other sandwiches next time along with the onion rings.
