Asian Pork Chops
In an effort to help Brad get his diabetes under control and change our eating habits, I found this recipe on the American Diabetes Association website. Like a lot of food we have cooked lately, the pictures do not look as appetizing as the meal actually was. This goes perfectly with rice and broccoli and even a few spring rolls!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 6 boneless pork chops
Instructions
1. Mix all ingredients except 2 tablespoons of canola oil and the pork chops
2. Add pork chops to a dish and marinate with the mixture above for at least 20 minutes.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of canola oil to a frying pan on medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook around 5-10 minutes per said (depending on your cooking preference).
4. While pork chops are cooking, add the marinade to a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Let simmer a few minutes.
5. Serve the pork chops and top with the cooked marinade!
