Grille 29 Brunch

Grille 29 Brunch

So our all time favorite brunch spot is Grille 29.  I have been eating lunch and dinner here since I moved to Huntsville back in 2009.  A few years later we found out that they had brunch on Sundays.  Back them they served brunch only on Sunday starting at 10 am.  More recently, they have expanded their brunch to Saturdays too.  One perk is that they serve $0.29 mimosas from 10 until 11.  So that is the prime time really.  We tend to go whenever we have family in town over the weekend or for special occasions.  Check out my review of our most recent experience below!

Reservations are recommended but not always required.  If you want a spot for the cheap mimosas, I highly recommend making one.  We made one around 8:30 am for the same day at 10 am.  Since they do not open until 10, you will find a crowd waiting outside until the doors open.  Melody just plays on the stairs outside of the restaurant for entertainment!

They have a very small menu, but I think it has a good variety for anyone that may come.  I think between all of our visits, someone in our party has tried almost everything on the menu once.  I never venture from my favorite, but Brad sometimes tries different things.

A must for me is the $0.29 mimosa.  They are always really great, and you can't beat the price!

They do not have coloring books or crayons here, so I suggest bringing them for your little one if they are needed.  They certainly are for ours!

Because of the odd timing of brunch when it comes to Melody's eating schedule, we do not order her an actual meal.  However, I always get her apples with peanut butter.  We always would struggle to get Melody to eat fruit and peanut butter, but one visit she devoured theirs.  So now we always get it for her.

Brad ordered the Benedict Oscar.  And I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict.  Both of us ordered the white corn cheese grits as our side.

Brad really enjoyed his meal.  And I loved mine.  Their grits are some of the best grits I have ever had.  And the meal itself was really great.  The crab cakes are delicious, and the poached egg is cooked perfectly too.

If you are in Huntsville (or Birmingham), I highly recommend trying the brunch at Grille 29.  We are trying to venture out and try more places that offer brunch, but we always come back to Grille 29!
