Father's Day 2018
This year we had a fairly laid back Father's Day to celebrate both Brad and my dad.
To start things off, we had dinner with my dad on the Friday before Father's Day. Due to his work schedule this was going to be the best time to see him. Brad worked, so Melody and I went over after lunch and spent some time with him at my parents' house first.
After socializing for a bit, we headed to Logan's for dinner. Brad met us there when he got off work. My dad had to go to work directly afterwards so we ate early.
On Sunday we celebrated Brad all day. We had a simple breakfast because we planned to go out for lunch right at 11. Melody is going through a phase where she loves to point out all the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters during "roll call". She has a cute name for each of them too.
Then we went to Brickhouse for lunch at 11. Since it was Sunday we could get brunch or lunch. We both opted for lunch since it had been awhile since we had eaten there. Plus I recently found out I have a red meat allergy, so bacon wasn't an option.
After lunch we went and did some shopping for barstools, then we came back and relaxed. Melody and Brad napped while I binged watched How to Get Away with Murder.
After they woke up, we decided to go out to eat for dinner. We originally were going to grill, but it was WAY TOO hot. We found everywhere was super crowded so we ended up at IHOP. They have turkey bacon (which isn't super great from there), Nutella French toast for Melody, and Brad wanted to give their new "burgers" they claim are so great a try. Melody loved her French toast, and Brad wasn't impressed with the burger.
After dinner we came back and played outside some since it cooled off. We got Melody a playhouse for her birthday, but because we were in a hotel on her birthday we hadn't put it together yet. So we did that while she played with some of her other outdoor toys. I am thinking the playhouse is a hit with here though!
