Paper Chains - Disney Countdown

Paper Chains - Disney Countdown

Paper Chains - DIsney Countdown.jpg

Every Disney trip we try and do some sort of countdown. I do try and come up with some original ones, but one we go back to often is the paper chains. It is easy and cute. And you and you can really make it more involved if you want too!

We make Mickey paper chains. So we use red, yellow and black construction paper. If you are like me, you can evenly measure it out, or you can just cut if you aren’t as much of a perfectionist as I try to be, ha. The red and yellow are simple straight lines.

When you get to the black, you will want to add two half circles to be Mickey’s ears. I used a Keurig pod to do this. I drew it out then cut it. I could probably use my silhouette cameo, but this was just as easy.

In the past, I did this and Brad and I wrote fun facts we though the other might not know on them. Some trips, we don’t write anything on them. This trip specifically we wrote fun activities to do on each of them. Some examples are below but include: building legos/duplos, playing with Disney puzzles, Disney dress up, making a blanket, or doing pieces of art (UP Painting, Mickey Canvas, etc.). The key is to have fun anticipating your trip and counting down!

After you write down whatever is you want to write down, you make the actual chain. I have used both staples and tape to secure them. Whatever you find easiest and have on hand.
