So we are very, very close to what would have been the end of our school year. Preschool always ended a week or so earlier than the city schools. It is really bittersweet to be here, but that is where we are. Ironically Melody wore the same apple dress (as more of a shirt/tunic on Friday), that she wore a year ago. Next week we tackle new learning tools too! Below you can find pictures from our week this week!

Now like I mentioned above, last week was my last week working with sources provided to me for lesson planning. This week I am lesson planning from β€œscratch”. I have a video below going over the resources I have used or plan to use. While school technically would end this week, we still want to continue school at home throughout the summer since it provides us with such a good routine and schedule. Once places begin to open back up (such as playgrounds and parks), we will likely reduce our number of school days just to be more practical with our time. Below are some of the sources I used in the video if you do not want to watch the entire way through!

Videos (all on YouTube - all free resources)

  • Story time - Local Library and ABCMouse; we also plan to do some story time at home with books we already own

  • Learning - ABCMouse, Toddler Fun Learning, Dr. Poppy, Disney Safety Patrol

All of the videos above are free on YouTube. If you pay for ABCMouse, you can also utilize their app for some learning videos and activities.

Worksheets

  • The Moffatt Girls Worksheets (paid worksheets)

  • Teachers Pay Teachers (paid worksheets, also can find The Moffatt Girls here)

  • ABCMouse (paid through the app; worksheets found on their website)

  • Oriental Trading (free)

  • Nick Jr. (free, coloring and educational)

  • Crayola (free, coloring and educational)
