Air Fryer Donuts
These donuts are really delicious and semi-healthy using the air fryer. We tried a few flavors for our first attempt, but I will tell you that the cinnamon sugar were by far the best! And we even fried up the donut holes too!
Ingredients
1 can of large flaky biscuits
Olive oil spray
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
Optional: powdered sugar, homemade glaze, etc.
Instructions
1. Place the biscuits on parchment paper and cut holes out of them. I didn’t have a circular object small enough so I used a small dolphin cookie cutter. Then I sprayed the air fryer with olive oil spray. Place each biscuit into the fryer without them touching. Bake for 5-6 minutes at 350 flipping once.
2. While the donuts are frying, make your dipping mixture. Melt the butter. Make a bowl of powdered sugar (if that is what you prefer), mix together some glaze (I used the icing from this cinnamon rolls recipe), or mix together the sugar and cinnamon (or all 3!).
3. Remove the donuts, brush with butter, then top them. Continue until all the donuts are done.
4. Serve! Like I said, the cinnamon sugar were by far the best!
** We did also fry up the donut holes, but I did not fry as long.
