In our new house, we have a massive master bedroom closet. And not just in size, but height. The shelves are so, so high I have to stand on my tippy toes to hang things. So the original layout of our closet kept all of my things on the bottom, and Brad took the top. But then I could never reach my purses, and my shoe situation was a mess. You can see the mess below!

So I took one of the walls and made it my accessory wall/shelves. I made a Mickey Ear display. Then I lined all of my purses on the bottom shelf so that I can easily reach them and change them out. Lastly, I moved all of my shoes and shoe rack underneath the purses. This cleared up the space by our window.

I put all of my clothes opposite my accessories. I used the built in shelves to store my workout clothes, pajamas, and tank tops. These are things I couldn’t fit in our dresser, and I didn’t want to hang up. I hung up the clothes I use less often (dress clothes) on the top shelf. The bottom shelf is where I hung all of my t-shirts since I wear them daily. On the very, very top shelf I am storing luggage, photos, and dolls of mine from my childhood.

I moved all of Brad’s clothes over to the other side. I grouped his clothes by bottoms, polos and buttons ups, t-shirts, and suits. I have since added a storage bench under the window too.

I am hoping in the near future I can go through all these clothes again and really get rid of things I truly don’t wear. And for the clothes I hope to fit in one day, I may remove those and place them on an empty shelf up top. And in the far future I hope to re-do the shelving and make it more built in/custom-like.
