Valentine Wreath

Valentine Wreath

So I have this grapevine style wreath that I used a long time ago to make a spring wreath. While the wreath was really cute and we used it often, the flowers on were starting to look faded from being used and in the sun so long. So we took all the things off and just hung it in our garage with the other wreaths I have. Well I had this idea about a week or so ago to use it to make a Valentine’s wreath. While it is not my favorite wreath I have ever made, I think it turned out pretty cute for a last minute put-together craft!

So I had Brad use his 3D printer to make me 4 pink and 4 red hearts. They were about 4 inches in width, and 1/2 inch thick. You could easily use some plastic ones found at a craft store, but this was easier for me! I originally was going to use metal wire to attach them to the wreath, but that did not hold up well. Instead, I found some twine, and I attached it that way.

I alternated the colors, and tried to spread them out as much as possible. I intended to use ribbon, but the ribbon I had was falling apart, and again, I didn’t want to go to a craft store. And while I have lots of ribbon, I didn’t have any that was red or pink and thick enough. Next year I may add a little more stuff to it, but for this year, it will work!
