Halloween 2021
We had such a fun Halloween this year. We kind of went all out in the costumes this year which required a lot of work from me, but Melody loved it. So I supposed the work was worth it.
Halloween week always involves pumpkins! Melody painted a pumpkin she got from the pumpkin patch. Then her and Brad carved a pumpkin she got at her school’s pumpkin patch. She drew it all herself while Brad did the messy part.
Halloween day, Brad and Melody did some baking.
So Melody picked Butterbean as her costume this year. She wanted me to dress up as Poppy, and Brad dressed up as Jasper. Melody’s costume came straight from Amazon. It took two different costumes to find one that fit though. And the wings were terrible. They lasted for pictures, but they came off after about three houses. They were simply attached by velcro. I made most of Brad and my costumes which I plan to share all about later.
The kids had a blast this year. The weather was perfect, and the girls are at a perfect age. They could go to the front porches by themselves and ran from house to house as we followed.
After trick or treating, it was time to check out our loot and eat dessert!
