Melody is a Flower Girl
My cousin recently got married, and she asked Melody to be her flower girl. Melody didn’t really know what that meant at first, but as we talked about it, she was so excited and eager for the big day. My cousin and Melody have grown really close over the last year or so. Melody truly adores her and her, now, husband. A very special part about Melody being Ashley’s flower girl…I was the flower girl at Ashley’s parents’ wedding. Such a sweet and full circle moment!
We attended the rehearsal the evening before the wedding. Melody had fun, and she enjoyed all the attention she got from everyone there.
The location of the wedding was about an hour and a half away. We arrived to the bridal suite about 12:30 or so. Ashley wanted to get pictures of the bridal party getting ready. Melody even had her own little mirror and sitting area. And surprisingly, her curls lasted the whole evening! Two of the bridesmaids befriended Melody. She loved every minute she got to spend with them. I spent a lot of time with the bride moving her around between locations for pictures. So Melody had a lot of fun with the bridesmaids. One bridesmaid did all of the flowers for the wedding, including Melody’s flower crown. It was so beautiful.
It turned out to be SO COLD. Literally the coldest week of the fall so far. But all the girls managed to take beautiful pictures!
After pictures, we got ready for the ceremony! I am biased, but Melody was so darn cute. And she did a fantastic job throwing out the pedals. She was shivering up front though. The photographer came and got her jacket from me during the middle of the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we ate and danced. Melody loved dancing the entire night. She was really the only kid aside from the ring bearer, and he didn’t really dance.
I am so glad Melody go to have this moment, and she had so much fun. The wedding was beautiful, and we were so happy to be apart of it!
