Doc McStuffins Birthday Party
Not long after Melody’s Rainbow Ranger birthday party last year, she already knew she wanted a Doc McStuffins birthday party when she turned 6. I waited until earlier this year before really planning though. We all know kids can change their minds so easily. But she was still wanting that Doc McStuffins party, so that is what she got.
I plan to do more detailed posts later, but I did want to share all about her party generally. Melody wanted to invite all of her kindergarten class, and she also did not want the party at our house. She had attended a few birthday parties at different places for her kindergarten friends. Budget wise I had not planned for this. But we found a place nearby that was a reasonable price and did not have a limit on the number of kids that could attend. Big bonuses. It is called Cheerville. I will do a whole post about it later.
We were able to setup around 30 minutes before the party started. We had access to a party room the entirety of the party. We also had exclusive access to the party area for two hours. Once we got all setup, I was sure to get pictures of Melody with us and her grandparents. I wished I had gotten one of just her, but I forgot.
Then she was off to play. And I took pictures of the party room. First off was the main party table. It contained all the food along with random decor we had or made. I also made a backdrop to help cover the walls and added a birthday banner to it.
We also had a gift table that I placed the favors on as well. It was not as pretty, but it was not the main focal point either.
Then we had the tables. We had three tables that were all placed together to make one long table. The decor was all things we already had along with confetti I made.
Here are some pictures of the play area. The kids had SO much fun!
After about 30 minutes of playtime, the kids came to the party room for treats and water. I already had the table set up for the kids with a cupcake and two cookies along with a bottle of water. This kept them from lining up and adding time. Melody really wanted to open presents, so we needed to contain the time as much as possible so they had plenty of playtime too.
Then I grabbed a picture of all the kids at her party before they headed back out to play for another hour.
