Carnival Liberty
As I have mentioned in previous posts, my mom and I took a cruise back in April 2022. We decided to try the Carnival Liberty cruise ship. It offered the best price, and we really liked the idea of getting to go to a private island. It wasn’t Half Moon Cay, but it was still somewhere private and fun. So now I want to share all about the ship!
Flowers Lobby
So the name gives it away, but below are pictures of the main lobby. The atrium itself was exceptionally tall and provided a lot of entertainment throughout our trip. Each floor of the atrium had lots of activities and things to do. There were lots of shops, photos to look at, bars to find a drink at, and one of the dining rooms. Our room was right off the lobby on the 7th floor, so we found ourselves using the lobby a lot. We loved one of the bands that played here often, Awesome Sauce.
The Promenade
The Promenade is a long area on one side of the ship. It passes through the casino, and it contains lots of seating and amazing views. During certain times of day you may find a live band and/or photography setups to snap a pictures. There was also a decent coffee shop and Internet cafe. The coffee shop had daily puzzles you could get too.
The Arcade
If you continue walking from the Flowers Lobby through the Promenade, you will eventually come across the arcade and teen area. The arcade was huge and was really empty when we went by. I think we saw one other family playing.
Conservatory Aft Atrium
Again, if you continue, you will find the other atrium. You will pass a bar, a piano bar, and then the atrium that leads you to the comedy lounge (below) and the other dining room.
Victoria Aft Lounge
And at the very back of the ship above the dining room is the Victoria Aft Lounge. We went here to see a comedy show, but I think other things went on in this lounge too. The comedy show we saw was not very good, but there may have been others that were better that we did not get to see.
Versailles Aft Pool Area
Now if we head up but stay Aft, you will find a pool area. This pool itself is for adults only, but kids can obviously be back here since there are food areas around the pool. We actually would eat sometimes back here because the tables were often empty. We actually got in the pool one day back here. Back here you will find a bar, the Pizza Pirate, and the Seafood Shack. There was also an ice cream station, but it was closed during our trip. The Seafood Shack cost extra, so we never tried it.
Lido Restaurant
Heading back towards the front of the ship you will enter the Lido Restaurant. It actually contained a few different eateries. But it also had PLENTY of tables and drink machines for tea, coffee, and water. The views were also really nice. We always sat by a window. Here you will find the traditional buffet, a sushi bar (cost extra), a sandwich shop, and if you go upstairs, you will find BBQ.
Main Pool Area
And if you continue outside of the Lido Restaurant, you will find the main pool area which also has a lot of food around it! So you will find the ice cream which is unlimited ALL THE TIME! There is also Guy’s Burger Joint. We ate here a few times, and it was by far a favorite. The burgers were great as were the fries. And then there was the Blue Iguana. It was just ok. They had burritos and tacos along with a salsa bar. It would have been much better with chips! You also had two different bars, and tons of seating. They also played movies here at night.
Spa/Serenity Area
And going all the way forward, you can find the Spa/Serenity Area. We spent a little bit of time here nearly every day. The Serenity Area is for 21+, and while there is not a pool, you can find two hot tubs and its own bar. If you go inside from here, you will find both the spa and restrooms. A small negative about this area was the kids area was right outside of it. While this was never an issue for us, I could see it being an issue on a busier cruise. But I guess there is some convenience to it too.
Venetian Palace Lounge
And one of the last major public areas also in the front is the Venetian Palace Lounge. Here you can find most of the major shows along with things such as bingo.
I obviously did not get pictures of every single area. I didn’t really grab any casino pictures, but it is truly just a standard casino. There is also all of the shops themselves and the dining rooms. Overall we really did like this ship. It isn’t too big, but not too small either. Plus it had a great itinerary for us!
