Traveling to Disney March 2023
For Spring Break, we went to Disney World with Brad’s parents. We opted to drive to save money. We started our trek after school on Friday. We had originally planned to check Melody out once we were packed and ready, but she had a field trip that afternoon. So I check her out from the field trip, and we headed out.
Our drive wasn’t awful. I made road trip bags that Melody received every so often. I plan to do a whole post about how I made our road trip easier this time. We also stopped for dinner, and then again at Buc-ee’s.
We made it to Lake City, FL around midnight. We booked the room while at dinner. Thankfully we did because all rooms were sold out by the time we arrived. We stayed at a Tru by Hilton. It was really nice and perfect for what we needed.
We semi-slept in the next morning, had a quick breakfast, then headed out. We did grab a Starbucks before truly making it back on the interstate.
One promise I made with us driving this trip is that we could stop at the largest McDonald’s in Orlando. I have been here several times, but not in MANY years. Like it has completely been redone since I last visited here. We really enjoyed our food and play area to get all the wiggles out.
We headed to check in to our hotel around 3. The whole breakdown of the traveling was really easy and helpful this time around, I think.
