Storybook Treats
During our trip to Disney World in March 2023, we took advantage of the Facebook group “Ear for Each Other”. It is where castmembers who were laid off during COVID could post different business ventures. One properly option is where different people deliver various goodies to your resort. After looking around on the page, we decided to reach out to Storybook Treats. We were uncertain if they could deliver to Shades of Green (they can!), and once we received confirmation, we decided to order some treats for the trip.
The price was reasonable, and we opted to do both breakfast and dessert options. They delivered right to our resort on the day of our original arrival. They kept me up to date with their deliveries as they went. I did NOT have to meet them at all. They left our boxes with the front desk. The boxes have safety seals and extra tape too.
For desserts we got brownie bites, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, and chocolate cake pops dipped in white chocolate. So I must be honest with my review. The cookies were not great. Melody wouldn’t eat the chocolate chip cookies because they were too hard (and I agreed). The oatmeal cookies were just strange. They were not cookie shaped, and didn’t have much flavor at all. The brownies and cake pops were really good but rich. We never finished it all mainly because we got desserts in the park, so we rarely came back and had dessert too.
With our breakfast box we got lots of cinnamon rolls, lemon scones, blueberry scones, and strawberry pop tarts. So I am certain the cinnamon rolls were devoured. Brad and his dad had those a lot of mornings. Unfortunately our room didn’t have a microwave, but I think they would have been better heated up. The scones tasted just ok. They aren’t liked the scones I am used to (think Starbucks or Publix), but they were decent. The pop tarts were really tasty. I couldn’t finish one in one sitting, so I was unable to finish them over the entirety of our trip.
I could see us giving them another try on a future long trip. I think we would need to order less though. We just did not eat enough to justify all that we got!
