We spent the 4th of July at my parents house this year. We got there after lunch and spent most of the day swimming in the pool. After some pool time, we had dinner. Then once he got a bit dark, we decided to shoot fireworks! My brother goes all out on fireworks. We had a lot of fun! Melody really looks forward to the fireworks every year.
This year we celebrated July 4th by spending the day at my parents’ pool and seeing family we haven’t seen since Christmas 2019!
This was our first July 4th at our new house! We live in a much smaller neighborhood now, so we don’t have a big firework spectacle like we had at our last house. However, we did get to see a lot of fireworks throughout the weekend, and we had a lot of fun doing it. Melody seemed to really enjoy it all this year too which was fun!
This year we decided to keep July 4th low-key. We are in the process of selling our house, and we wanted to spend one last year celebrating in our neighborhood. It also gave us a nice break at home before the chaos of moving begins.
So this isn't a true "recipe" necessarily. I have already posted about how to make Oreo Balls in my Valentine's Day post last year. So you will need to visit that post for the recipe (I kindly linked it for you). Below is an example of an easy way to add a little bit of July 4th spirit to the recipe however!
