Take a look back at Easter over the last three years!
During our trip to Disney in March 2023, we stayed at Shades of Green. It has quickly become our favorite resorts. One of their quick service restaurants is called Evergreens. We eat there usually multiple times within a trip typically for various reasons. We love the staff and the food.
For Brad’s 40th birthday, we did a quick weekend trip to Disney World. He loves the Epcot resorts and ability to walk to Epcot, but that was not in our budget. However, I was able to use a family and friends discount at the Swan, so we decided to try there. This trip was in September 2023, and I think there has been some renovations since then.
On day three of our March 2023 Disney trip, we tried something new. We had a late breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal table. My hesitation eating here has always been the cost vs the value. Melody doesn’t eat much, so is it worth the price tag for such a place? There was also rumors swirling around then on whether the princess were back dining with guests. But this was one place Vicki really wanted to eat at, so we decided, why not?
Since I haven’t posted about my 39th birthday, I figured I would pair it with my 40th birthday when discussing it! So check them out below!
Our church decided it was time to make an updated directory, so we had the opportunity to take some pictures in addition to the ones that will go into the directory. It is rare we take pictures like these, so we took advantage of it. See them all below!
The Opryland Hotel in Nashville is one of our favorite nearby getaways! We paid it a visit in January of 2024 for the long holiday weekend.
Unfortunately we were unable to attend Breakfast with Santa with our family in 2024, so let me tell you about our 2023 experience.
I know it is a year late, but here are Melody’s Santa pictures from last year! She wore the cutest heels that you can barely see!
Last October during Fall Break, we went to Destin. It is our usual go-to beach spot. It was just the three of us in our condo, but our best friends, The Owens, were also there. So we did things together when it worked out! It was a super relaxing beach trip, and we had a lot of fun!
So last summer we stumbled across a Facebook post where someone was advertising a summer music camp. The children would get to learn a variety of instruments and there would be a showcase at the end of the week. We have always been interested in getting Melody involved in music, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to experience it without a huge commitment.
With summer approaching, I thought I would share about our experience at the Kiddie Carnival last summer. I have a more detailed post about all that the carnival has to offer from 2022. So this post is more about the pictures.
Since the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival is coming up, I thought I would share our experience from last year. Unfortunately the weather doesn’t look great this year, but hopefully some of the activities will still happen!
Well I never went away, but I have been busy, and blogging has been on the low priority list for me. Between school, extracurriculars, and my Etsy shop, I just have not had the time I would like to write all about our lives and all the things going on in it.
I have started releasing digital Valentine’s Day Classroom Exchange cards in my Etsy shop this week! I have plenty more that I plan to release in the next few weeks, but I started out with more general ones that can be used with any treat or item that you want to pair with it. There are 6 different options. Each option comes with 6 designs. You can see them below. Click here to start shopping! Oh, and don’t forget the exclusive discount code to my blog readers - PGP15DISCOUNT!
For Thanksgiving this year, we stayed home and celebrated with my side of the family. Brad was lucky enough to come home from his work trip just for the week of Thanksgiving. His hours were all messed up, but it was really nice having him here to celebrate. Since he was home for only a short period of time, I hosted my family. We had lots of fun, and we enjoyed the time with the family!
Brad was lucky enough to make it to our Pumpkin Patch visit this year! He has missed the last few years, and he literally left for two months a few weeks after this. We had a lot of fun this year. And each year does get easier since Melody is getting older and can do more things by herself and has the freedom to do so. We go to Lyons Pumpkin Patch, and they also seem to also add things every year. And the weather was perfect this year too! And peep the picture of Melody on her first visit to the pumpkin patch! She has grown SOOOOO much!
Halloween this year was a bit different since Brad was traveling for work and missed it. He did carve pumpkins right before leaving as well as going to the pumpkin patch with us. But this year Melody picked Princess Leia as her costume of choice making it extra hard not having her Star Wars loving daddy there.
The last two and a half months have been busy, hectic, and full on chaos. Brad was actually out of town for two months himself. So for a good part of time, it was just Melody and me. We have been in full on survival mode. But I wanted to share some of our life lately. I still plan to go into all the details of all the things later too!
