Easter Wreath
This wreath is a fairly easy wreath to make and can be used not only on a door, but also as wall decor. It only took me a few hours to make.
Supplies Needed
- Foam circle
- Yarn, spring color
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Large wire ribbon
- Easter eggs
Instructions
Step One - Pick a starting point on the foam circle. Using the hot glue gun, apply a small strip of glue.
Step Two - Place the starting point of the yarn in the hot glue.
Step Three - Begin wrapping the yarn TIGHTLY around the foam circle.
As I was wrapping, sometimes the yarn would get into knots. I would cut the yarn at the knot.
Then I would measure so that the yarn would end on the "back" of the wreath. This way all the hot glue spots were on the back.
Apply some hot glue and attach the yarn.
Then start the new piece of yarn right by the old yarn.
Continue until the entire foam circle is wrapped in yarn. There should be a small portion that cannot be covered.
Step Four - Cover the portion not covered in yarn with the large ribbon.
Secure the ribbon with a pin.
Tie in a bow and secure with another pin.
Step Five - Apply hot glue to the easter egg
Step Six - Attach the egg to the wreath and hold for about 15-20 seconds.
Continue until all the eggs you want to attach are applied.
