The Brown Derby Lounge Review

The Brown Derby Lounge Review

So my mom and I knew we would not have enough dining credits for EVERY meal.  So we decided we would either pay out of pocket for a meal that didn't take the dining plan or for breakfast.  Well we only ate breakfast one morning, so we decided to try The Brown Derby Lounge.  As I mentioned in a previous review, The Brown Derby itself is not worth the two credits for the table service dining plan usage.  However, if you want to try some of the foods The Brown Derby has to offer, such as the Cobb Salad, stop by the Lounge.  It is first come first service seating.  We arrived at 12:30, and there was plenty of seats available.

See below for the menus:

We had our drinks within about 5 minutes of sitting down.  Since we were not using the dining plan (they do not accept it at the lounge), I splurged and got me a Shirley Temple.  I had never had one, but it was really yummy.  My mom had the margarita flight.  She really liked it.  Of course, I had to take her word for since I am pregnant!  I can't remember the order of her favorites, but she really did enjoy them all!

My mom and I both got the Cobb Salad.  As usual, it was amazing.  We asked them to leave off the blue cheese (I hate it).  It is simply a smaller version of what you would get at the restaurant, but it is super filling nonetheless.  Our food took at most, 10 minutes to arrive.  I doubt it even took that long.

The menu is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is nice.  It was a really nice day to just sit outside, relax, and enjoy the weather.  I would definitely eat here again on future trips.  I LOVE the cobb salad, and this is a much cheaper and nicer way to get it!

Below is a video of our view.
