Spicy Lemon Baked Chicken
I rarely just come up with a recipe all on my own, but one day last week I decided to do just that. We had two chicken breasts, and our original intent was to grill them. However, I decided I really wanted some form of baked chicken. Below is the recipe and instruction. Brad said this chicken has a kick to it, especially after a minute or two after eating it. You can see for yourself however!
Ingredients
- 2 Chicken Breasts
- 1 Pack of Saltine Crackers (you could probably get away with 1/4 - 1/2 of the pack)
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon of onion salt
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice
Instructions
1. In a gallon size ziploc bag, smash the crackers into crumbs.
2. Add the onion salt, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder to the saltine crackers.
3. Take the chicken breasts and cut it into strips.
4. Salt and pepper the chicken
5. Add lemon juice to a bowl
6. Lightly grease a cookie sheet
7. Dip chicken into lemon juice
8. Add all of the chicken to the ziplock bag.
9. Shake bag until chicken is covered.
10. Place chicken on cookie sheet.
11. Bake for 35 minutes at 425
